The Belmont Hotel Manila is a pleasant home-away-from-home that is located within vibrant Newport City, near the Resorts World Manila and the airport area.  Business travelers appreciate its relative proximity to business areas of Pasay, Manila, Paranaque, and Makati. And because it is one of the several hotels near the airport, it is also a perfect place to stay for the night just before embarking on tomorrow’s earliest morning flight without fear of missing your flight due to traffic. Reading the Belmont Hotel Manila reviews in Tripadvisor, its great location close to the airport is the usual reason people book this hotel.

Tourists who are on an overnight layover because of unexpected cancelled or deferred flight schedules will appreciate being able to stay in a comfortable 4-star setting before moving on.

Currently under construction is a pedestrian bridge which connects the hotel to the NAIA 3 Terminal.  This will make staying at the Belmont Hotel even more convenient for guests who have to catch a flight.

The hotel is also ideal for residents of Metro Manila who just want to experience a tranquil but also fulfilling staycation away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.  It is located only five minutes away on foot from the Resorts World Manila, a major center of entertainment, dining, and shopping in the airport area.  You can shop at the upscale Newport Mall, try your luck at the casino, or watch a live musical at Newport Performing Arts Theater.  While you can already reach Resorts World from Belmont Hotel just by walking, you can also avail of the hotel’s free shuttle service.  This is especially great not only for elderly, infant, and disabled guests but also for guests who feel exhausted after a spending full day at Resorts World. And it’s a lot safer to take the shuttle, especially for foreign guests.

Belmont Hotel Manila rooms offer its guests a truly pleasant ambiance amidst space-efficient interiors, contemporary minimalist yet very cozy fixtures, and state-of-the-art amenities that are expected of any luxury hotel.  A typical room has a 32-inch flatscreen TV, personal safe, air conditioning, phone, mini bar, executive desk, refrigerator, coffee and tea maker, and WiFi access.  And if you want to have a staycation with your family, you will be delighted to know that the hotel offers family rooms which are actually two rooms (queen bed on one and two twin beds on the other) accessible to each other with a private connecting door.

The hotel also offers other luxury facilities, such as a swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi, kiddie pool, spa, sauna and steam room, and a fully-equipped gym, to its active and health-conscious guests. The gym can be availed of for free when you are booked as a hotel guest.  Guests are delighted to know that the hotel’s swimming pool is located right on the rooftop and offers a marvelous 360-degree view of the city.

Not to be missed is the hotel’s Cafe Belmont which offers a daily breakfast buffet (complimentary to hotel guests).  Buffet fare consists of Filipino favorites like tapa, eggs (cooked any style as you wish), and garlic rice.  There are also Continental breakfast items such as pancakes, toast, cereal, and fresh fruits.

Of special mention is the ala carte menu, which boasts of delectable Filipino delights such as the Crispy Pata and Kare-Kare, priced surprisingly as low as regular specialty restaurants.  Truly a deal for gourmet diners!  And Cafe Belmont also offers buffet dinners of various themes every weekend at surprisingly low prices per head compared to other hotels in the area.

From time to time, Belmont Hotel offers special deals and preferences, such as discounted room rates and special holiday packages.  You can call the hotel, look up its own website, or check their Facebook Page for these special deals.

And in case you’re still skeptical, you should check out Belmont Hotel Manila reviews and blogs available in various online hotel booking sites like Agoda.

After attending TBEX conference proper (a gathering of top travel bloggers from all over the world), I was one of the bloggers selected to join a FAM trip to Dumaguete, Siquijor, and Cebu. Definitely, I’ll be featuring the other luxury hotels I stayed in during that trip so watch out for the next few articles.

So before the trip, the organizers (TBEX and Philippine Tourism Promotions Board) booked us an accommodation in Belmont Hotel Manila to make sure we’ll have a good rest and not be hassled going to the airport.

We checked-in at the hotel pretty late at night because we just came from the closing party of TBEX so please also excuse my photos since the lighting is a bit bad because I have to shoot at midnight.

Be sure to have your breakfast early to avoid the long lines. Breakfast starts at 6am.

Hotel Room

I was able to spend a night each in two different types of their hotel room: one with a double bed and another with a two single beds. The rooms I stayed-in are exactly the same.. same layout and fixtures. The beds and pillows are nice and comfy. The nice thing I noticed is although it’s so close to the airport you don’t hear any of the airport and construction noise so you can have a really good night sleep.

One of my frustations in some hotel rooms is the lack of adequate electrical outlets. Good thing the rooms in Belmont Hotel have 4 electrical outlets available. There are two electrical outlets beside the bed, one in the workstation, and another one in the bathroom. It’s very convenient to charge all of my gadgets for the long trip ahead. Thumbs up!

Another thing that I really liked about the room is although the room is not very big, it still gives its guest an adequate space to work. As a travel blogger and web designer, I need a place where I can zone out to answer emails, write articles, and do other work related stuff. I’m sure business travelers will be happy with this feature too.

(This is part of a series of posts where I’ll be featuring the hotels and resorts that graciously welcomed us during our FAM trip as part of TBEX, a travel bloggers conference. Thank you Belmont Hotel Manila for hosting me and for your hospitality! My opinions, as always, are solely my own.)

Full Disclosure: You should always assume that pretty much every link on this blog is an affiliate link and that if you click it, find something you like and book it, I’m gonna make some money which would help me to maintain the site, book a hotel to write about, and buy food. Also, I feature hotels and Airbnb properties that gave me complimentary stay so expect to see those kind of posts too.
